Check out:- www.foodforests.net - After a massive week long rain event in Northern NSW - good Permaculture design still prevails - I haven't lost a single plant from excess water saturation - a testament to water harvesting as well as flood mitigation in water harvesting design
Check out:- www.foodforests.net - Comfrey is a remarkable plant and a certain must have in any permaculture system. The beauty of Comfrey is that it is very deep rooted and draws all types of nutrients and minerals from deep underground that otherwise would unlikely get brought to the surface. Comfrey leaves can then be used to fertilise productive plant in your system - it also make a good ground cover due to the ease at which it can be propagated, another benefit is that it is an excellent compost activator as well as animal forage - cattle will go berserk for it.
Check out:- www.foodforests.net - A great day was had at Zaytuna Farm on International Permaculture Day - here's Georgina - chief Junior Permaculturist at foodforests.net displaying her Kayaking skills.
Check out:- www.foodforests.net - Animals play a vital part in Permaculture design - at foodforests.net we believe in the use of beef cattle to mineralise the landscape (by mineral supplementation to feed), provide good quality manure, keeping grass down as well as meat production.
